Hiring for packaging professionals is picking up, and it is becoming more detailed. Companies are looking harder for an exact talent fit that precisely meets their needs. Here are four steps companies can take to get the best fit:

  • Assess your true needs. Have a detailed job description and ideal background for the right candidate.
  • Exhaust internal resources. Maybe the best solution is to restructure a department to use existing talent.
  • Set hiring parameters. Local or national? Incentives? Relocation package?
  • Use the right professional recruiter. Will a recruiter check a candidate’s motivation? Will they take the time to understand your company?
